I love nature…all sides the good the bad and the “ugly” This tree I am pretty sure will not have many blooms this year. We found it hiking our favorite trail a few weeks ago. I still think it is beautiful. I love to take all types of nature shots and have found beauty in the most interesting places. My boys look for things when we are hiking…almost like looking for animals in clouds. Some of the things we have found are truly amazing and I think this is one of them. I took this with my cell but Love Love Love it. I love how the branches reach for the sky and how because it is bare you can see the way it works and stretches for the sun.

So there is my artistic crazy for the day :)

Kirsty Mitchell’s late mother Maureen was an English teacher who spent her life inspiring generations of children with imaginative stories and plays. Following Maureen’s death from a brain tumour in 2008, Kirsty channelled her grief into her passion for photography.

She retreated behind the lens of her camera and created Wonderland, an ethereal fantasy world. The photographic series began as a small summer project but grew into an inspirational creative journey.

‘Real life became a difficult place to deal with, and I found myself retreating further into an alternative existence through the portal of my camera,’ said the artist. (read the rest here).
